In modern industrial equipment design, due to space constraints or specific operational habits, more and more equipment (such as packaging machinery, medical testing devices, and special machine tools) are beginning to favor portrait (vertical) operation interfaces. However, most HMIs on the market still focus on traditional landscape (horizontal) designs. Forcing them into a vertical installation often makes the edges look abrupt and uncoordinated.
To break this physical limitation and meet more flexible equipment installation needs, FLEXEM has launched the new generation F1 Series Capacitive Touch Screen. It adopts an exquisite narrow-bezel design. Whether it is a traditional landscape installation or an avant-garde portrait use, the overall appearance is equally coordinated and aesthetic, truly achieving "outstanding in both landscape and portrait, with no limits to aesthetics." At the same time, the F1 series perfectly integrates this spatial aesthetics with powerful Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology, bringing a disruptive, lightweight Operation and Maintenance (O&M) experience to equipment manufacturers and end-users.
1. Spatial Aesthetics: 10-Inch Vision in a 7-Inch Cutout
In addition to its stunning portrait screen adaptability, the F1 series—especially the F110 model—has achieved a breakthrough innovation in structural design for small and medium-sized equipment:
- Small Cutout, Large Screen: The unique narrow-bezel structure gives the device a 10.1-inch large-screen display effect, while the rear shell cutout size is only 7 inches. It truly achieves both a large-screen experience and compact installation. "10-inch vision, 7-inch cutout" is no longer just imagination.
- HD Full Viewing Angle: Equipped with an IPS true color LCD screen, featuring a resolution of 1280x800 and a maximum viewing angle of 170°. This ensures a clearer and broader visual experience even under complex lighting in industrial sites.
2. Cost Reduction & Efficiency: Patented Magnetic Design for Rapid Assembly
Traditional touch screen installation often requires multi-person cooperation, and fixing screws is cumbersome and time-consuming. The FLEXEM F1 series has completely streamlined the installation structure:
- Single-Person Handling: Adopting a patented magnetic installation method, a single person can complete the installation or disassembly of the entire machine. The innovative magnetic front panel structure makes single-person setup easy and fast.
- Adaptable to Narrow Spaces: This design significantly saves manpower and improves efficiency, making it especially suitable for narrow spaces or scenarios where equipment needs frequent replacement.
3. Native Cloud-Edge Collaboration: Built-In IoT for One-Step Networking
As a deep cultivator in the Industrial IoT field, FLEXEM has endowed the F1 series with powerful networking capabilities. There is no longer a need to configure and debug complex external IoT modules.
- Native Built-In 4G: The F1 series features a built-in 4G IoT function and SIM card slot, enabling remote equipment monitoring and cloud management without external modules.
- Cloud-Edge Data Interconnectivity: Supports network connection via 4G or Ethernet to remotely monitor and operate equipment, effortlessly realizing cloud-edge collaboration and seamless data flow.
4. Farewell to Heavy Laptops: Bluetooth Mobile App Unlocks New O&M Postures
This is a highly revolutionary feature of the F1 series. When traveling for on-site debugging, you no longer need to carry a heavy laptop to find network cables in a noisy workshop.
- Wireless Connection, Minimalist Debugging: Paired with a mobile app, users can wirelessly connect to the equipment via Bluetooth to perform tasks like system setting modifications, data exports, and firmware updates. You can manage and monitor the HMI directly from your smartphone without a PC.
- Powerful Integrated Tools: The intuitive app interface supports online modification of Ethernet configurations, Wi-Fi settings, time, and region parameters. Equipment addresses can be added online for real-time data monitoring.
- Socialized Minimalist O&M: Export equipment logs and share them directly via messaging apps. Users can selectively export historical data, alarm records, and operation logs, sharing them with colleagues in one click. This provides incredible convenience for remote collaboration, data traceability, and troubleshooting. Firmware packages can also be imported directly from chat histories for fast online updates.
- VNC Remote Display: For experts far away in the office, VNC functionality is supported. Users can remotely view and operate the on-site touch screen interface via a PC, making operations feel as if they were right on-site, vastly improving debugging and O&M efficiency.
Conclusion
The FLEXEM F1 Series Capacitive Touch Screen is not only an outstanding industrial display but also a mature, lightweight O&M and IoT solution. From the structural aesthetics of its landscape and portrait versatility to the wireless debugging and cloud-edge collaboration software, the F1 series is dedicated to helping equipment manufacturers reduce costs, improve efficiency, and endow industrial equipment with a smarter "brain."
