    Industry Pain Points

Complex Wire Drawing / Cutting Process

The wire drawing and cutting algorithm must calculate different wire lengths for odd and even strings, requiring extreme precision in length and positioning.

    Strict Welding Temperature Control

Ribbon welding requires precise temperature control and fast PID response to prevent cell damage and efficiency loss.

Motion Control & Vibration Suppression at High Cadence

High cadence and yield requirements: maintaining low breakage and a high welding rate during high-speed motion is a major motion control and vibration suppression challenge.

    Fragmented Process Data, Weak Traceability

Wire drawing, welding and cutting stations run as isolated process steps; cycle counts and process data are not centrally logged, making yield analysis and traceability slow.

    FLEXEM Solution Architecture

Built on FL6 series PLC and FE6156H HMI (5.6″ 4:3 TFT LCD, 1024×600, RS485/UART linked to the PLC), the architecture drives the wire drawing traverse with two FV5-E3 linear servo drives and uses FV5-R3 / FV5-E3 series servo drives (50-750 W) for loading push-up, loading axes, pickup translate and pickup lift. Dedicated process function blocks — FB_StringLine, FB_CycleCount and FB_Description — deliver high-cadence string drawing and welding with high positioning accuracy.

    Core Advantages

    Dedicated Process Algorithm, Simplified Operation

Built-in wire drawing and cutting process: the function block auto-calculates wire length for odd and even strings from the cell count input, simplifying programming for users.

Linear Servo Drive, High Precision & Efficiency

The wire drawing traverse uses FV5-E3 linear servo drives, meeting high cadence requirements while ensuring high positioning accuracy.

    Efficient Automation & Motion Synergy

Combined with the FL6 series PLC, the architecture provides efficient automation and motion control, solving high-speed motion challenges.

    Process Data Counting & Traceability

FB_CycleCount and FB_Description function blocks log cycle counts and process data on the FE6156H HMI, supporting production traceability and yield analysis.
